Scandinavian Distinction

This kitchen so thoroughly embodies Scandinavian sensibilities that it calls for a soft sheepskin and a plate full of warm meatballs. It is so warm and inviting, yet so sharp with its clean lines and textures that it is exquisitely balanced. The herringbone tile backsplash is reminiscent of a cable-knit sweater and pairs perfectly texture-wise with the seven tweed bar stools. The homeowner really wanted the stove to sit in front of the picture window which turned out beautifully, thanks to some outside-of-the-box design ideas from Allen. The expansive run of cabinets brings the kitchen and dining room together seamlessly, complete with bar.

Sometimes a room just bestows a calm feeling upon all those entering. The clean lines and crisp palette of the Medallion Cabinetry in this bright kitchen flow seamlessly with the beautiful grain of the wooden floating shelves and island counter top. Stainless steel appliances keep it looking sharp, while the espresso machine does double duty as textural centerpiece and essential beverage hub.

The inviting atmosphere in this house is palpable. Although the finishes chosen are luxe they remain approachable. The down-home feel is subtle and never detracts from the sophisticated aura of the varied spaces. The functional design and high quality Medallion cabinetry were our contribution to this gorgeous project and we are proud to have been a part of it. 

Bragging Rights Bestowed

Bragging rights bestowed. This gorgeous local kitchen is the perfect marriage of hard and soft. From the whites and greys to the gloss and matte finishes, the homeowners' choices complement the highly functional design of this space. High gloss backsplash tiles make for easy cleanup. The black hardware is an excellent highlight on the stark white cabinets and picks up other black features throughout the kitchen. Stainless steel updates the farmhouse-style sink and brings it into the appliance club with the fridge, oven, dishwasher, and microwave. All the steel is balanced by the warm, rustic look of the floor

Charming Bungalow Galley Renovation

Talk about bringing a kitchen up to date! Little details like the bin pulls and farmhouse sink give a nod to the distant past, but the general tone for this Hood River kitchen is "today."  The white on white palette leaves the homeowner free to accessorize at will, but is grounded by the wood accents and beadboard texture of the cabinetry. The dining nook with beautiful distressed table brings people into the kitchen to enjoy time together and gives the area a homey feeling. Medallion Cabinetry will stand up to many years of use and preserve the look of this lovely kitchen for countless meals and gatherings. As always, the design was carefully curated by Allen's Fine Woodworking to ensure the space allows the homeowner to work smarter, not harder.

It's All About That Brass

What do you do when you need a gorgeous backdrop for your busy online menu-planning business? You choose quality Medallion Cabinetry designed by Allen's Fine Woodworking so your kitchen's functionality is present but never a distraction. Navy blue base cabinets and white marbled quartz counter tops serve as the supporting cast and help the food shine as the star.  Glass doors on some cabinets showcase china and an inspirational cookbook collection. A row of orange industrial stools stylishly seat an audience of friends and family at the peninsula bar. 

Luxe Transitional Farmhouse

Using a different color for your island can add interest and make it feel like a free-standing piece of furniture. In this kitchen, designed and installed by Allen's Fine Woodworking, we used Medallion Cabinetry. The main cabinets use the Ellison raised panel door style in maple Morel paint and Raw Umber glaze. The island is maple in the same door style but with Chestnut stain and beautifully ties in corresponding vent hood and the various hues in the glass tile backsplash. The concealed refrigerator blends in seamlessly to add a serene feeling to the room.

Traditional and Timeless

The bright, crisp cabinets in this kitchen designed and installed by Allen's Fine Woodworking are Medallion's Mission door style in Maple, with Divinity Classic white finish. They are the perfect backdrop for any variation of colors, complemented here by the tans and browns of the counter tops and rattan bar chairs.

The cabinets are the main event in this kitchen designed and installed by Allen's Fine Woodworking in the Northwest. We used Medallion cabinetry of maple wood in Glenwood door style in Wheat stain, which lets the natural beauty of the all-wood doors shine through.

This amazing house is self-sustaining and stylish! Using a different color for your island can add interest to your space and make the island feel like a free-standing piece of furniture. The island is maple in Park Place door style with Sangria stain.

Rustic Charm meets Modern Convenience

Entertaining...Farmhouse Style

This homeowner had two goals: 
1. Create a space with flow for entertaining.  
2. Imbue it with flawless style.
We helped them accomplish both. The high quality Medallion cabinetry holds it own with the polished Misterio Pental quartz on the island and the satin finish Mysore Black Pental quartz on the main counters. The farmhouse sink in the island allows the host to converse with guests while working at the sink instead of being stuck against a wall, and the bar seating allows guests to get comfortable while they enjoy their wine.
The dry bar at the far end of the space makes wine and liquor storage look good while keeping the refreshments flowing at arm's reach. 

Clean and Functional Kitchen

Super Sleek Loft Kitchen

This loft is part of a revitalization of a historic commercial building in the Pacific Northwest. The original concrete and masonry were preserved, giving the space so much character! The modernity of the cabinetry is the perfect complement to the industrial skeleton. The waterfall edge of the quartz counters keep the ultra-modern feeling going, and ring-side seating allows guests to comfortably enjoy the show.

"Anything but Neutral" Kitchen

The individual colors in this kitchen all hail from a neutral palette, but the sum of their parts is far from neutral. There are rich brown tones coming from both the floor and the island, while the crispness of the white cabinets and grey subway tiles bring the sky inside (an important feature in the oft overcast Northwest.) The island seating gives family and guests a place to sit so the cook is always part of the conversation. Intelligent kitchen design is about, not only how things look, but also how each person functions in the kitchen. We make sure our clients are excited by both.

Every detail of this kitchen has been curated with love. Our beautiful Medallion Cabinetry is definitely a major player in the beauty of this space. The client was recreating a space she loved from a prior house, while we helped her add touches that truly make this a dream kitchen. The island is so spacious that she will never want for workspace, or for jaw-drops from guests that enter the space. Besides the white cabinets, the brightness of this kitchen comes from several luminous sources...the globe pendant lights, the under-cabinet LEDs, the beautiful picture windows, and from the in-cabinet lighting in the upper cabinets. The vent hood was custom-made for the homeowner.  Cabinetry was provided and installed by Allen's Fine Woodworking. 

Craftsman Stunner

This older craftsman home has so many charming period details that demand the respect of the newly remodeled kitchen design, and we feel like our team pulled it off beautifully. The cherry wood looks beautiful today but will only deepen with age, adding to the already rich history of this house. Double-stacked cabinetry serves as a seemingly endless source of storage for pantry items.

We're Just Beaming

The showstoppers in this room are obviously the gorgeous wooden beams running overhead. The relatively subdued nature of the space below lets the beams shine without making them fight for attention. The super clean lines and color of Medallion Cabinetry's Lancaster door in maple White Icing are the ideal foundation for the rest of this kitchen. They are unassuming but substantial work-horses that will serve the owner for years to come, and the perfectly balanced design will stand the test of time.

Bright and Easy Kitchen

The homeowner on this project treasured this airy, beachlike palette, and we tend to agree. A step inside this inland kitchen transports you to the beach. An equally important priority was that the walkways be ADA accessible, which, because of careful design, lend to the airiness of the room without ever feeling distant.  The waterfall Q quartz countertop looks gorgeous, as well as serving as a cabinet-protecting barrier against any errant wheelchairs. Who knew accessibility could be so glamorous?

A Little Bit of Rustic Mission Style

With gentle nods to Rustic Mexican Mission Style, this Pacific Northwest kitchen beckons to the sun and warmth of its southerly neighbor. The knotty alder cabinetry by Medallion is the perfect choice for tying the room together. The quartz countertop marries beautifully with the splendid chevron backsplash. Allen's FIne Woodworking and Designer Ashley Neff helped the homeowner make their dream a reality. 

French Farmhouse Inspired Kitchen

From the distressed black cabinetry to the "free-range" rooster gracing the range, this kitchen evokes images of the French countryside. The black cabinetry is Medallion's Piccadilly door style in maple with Carriage Black finish and Heirloom Distressing. The lighter cabinets are Medallion's Piccadilly door in maple with Glazed Cashew finish. This kitchen is a prime example of beautifully designed functionality. From the spacious maple butcher block island & eating bar to the roll-up pass through window for outdoor entertaining, the space can handle whatever situation the owners throw at it. Add the rich beauty of Medallion cabinets in Chelsea door style in cherry with Espresso stain and Caesarstone quartz countertops in Nougat, and you've got a real show-stopper.  The island was custom built from  knotty alder with Chestnut stain and Legacy distressing.

This project maintains a feeling of luxuriance even with the rustic woods used throughout the home. The furnishings and decor perfectly complement the natural striations of the hickory wood present in every room. The unmistakably northwest feel is full of intention, but never forced.
